For those receiving other benefits from the NII (double benefits)

For a person receiving an attendance allowance and/or a disabled child benefit

A person who is receiving an attendance allowance from the National Insurance Institute who meets the conditions of entitlement for receiving mobility benefits must choose one of them.

A person with limited mobility who is entitled to an attendance allowance from the National Insurance Institute can still receive benefits according to the Mobility Agreement if he is entitled to an attendance allowance of at least 100%, a 100% mobility disability has been established for him, or a medical committee determined that he requires and uses a wheelchair.

A person who receives a disabled child benefit from the National Insurance Institute, and who also meets the conditions of entitlement to mobility benefits - must choose between the two.

  • A person with limited mobility who is entitled to a benefit for  disabled child from the National Insurance Institute can still receive benefits under the Mobility Agreement if a mobility disability of at least 80% has been established for him, or a medical committee determined that he requires and uses a wheelchair.
  • A person with limited mobility, who is one of two people in the same family that are entitled to a disabled child benefit, may nonetheless receive benefits under the Mobility Agreement.

In any case, please contact the Disabled Child Department at the NII branch handling the case to ensure that receiving mobility benefits will not prevent you from receiving the benefit for a disabled child as well.
